The magazine SIC – Ediciones Coda dedicates its February special issue to a key question for the sector: “Threats and cyberattacks in 2026: what can we expect?”. In this edition, the publication gathers insights from leading public and private sector players on the cybersecurity landscape expected for the coming year.
In this context, our CTO, Miquel López-Miralpeix (CIO, CTO & CISO at Tranxfer), provides a clear analysis: the near future will be shaped by three major pillars that are already beginning to redefine how organizations must protect their information and prepare their security strategies.
The first relates to changes in international geopolitics, which are driving a reassessment of local capabilities in critical areas such as cybersecurity. These shifts will also have a direct impact on procurement criteria and on how organizations structure their teams and technology providers.
The second pillar is artificial intelligence, not only as a driver of innovation but also as a key technology for both attack and defense. Its widespread adoption creates new opportunities, but also new potential data leakage vectors, making it essential to strengthen preventive approaches rather than relying solely on reactive models.
Finally, the advancement of quantum computing, increasingly closer to reality, introduces a paradigm shift in information protection. Although still maturing, its impact will be profound, and organizations must begin preparing now for the changes it will bring in terms of security and cryptography.
At Tranxfer, we are pleased to be part of this special issue alongside other industry leaders and to continue contributing insights and expertise in a context that is becoming increasingly complex, demanding, and strategic for organizations.
